Work Columbia Valley is an initiative led by the Columbia Valley Chamber of Commerce to support local businesses in finding workers by offering a platform for posting job opportunities. To address the need for a streamlined recruitment process, the Chamber put out a Request for Proposals (RFP) to develop a custom job management system. Genex Marketing was chosen to create a recruitment website.

Genex’s development team customized the system to fit the specific needs of Work Columbia Valley, building features that were designed to meet the requirements outlined in the Chamber’s RFP. The overall aesthetic followed the Chamber’s existing brand guidelines.
System Design and Features:
The job management system was developed using the Job Manager Plugin, with additional customization to enhance the functionality required by Work Columbia Valley. The system was built to provide different user roles, including job seekers, employers, and administrators, with their own interfaces and permissions, ensuring an intuitive experience for all users.

The system’s interface was designed to be simple and easy to use, with a strong focus on functionality and adhering to existing brand guidelines. - Security and Data Management:
The platform was built using the Job Manager Plugin, ensuring robust security measures are in place. - Technical Details:
The system’s simple HTML/CSS build allows for efficient performance, even during periods of high usage. The use of the Job Manager Plugin with customizations ensured the system could be easily managed and scaled as needed.
Training and Support:
To ensure the smooth implementation and adoption of the system, Genex Marketing provided a virtual training session for the Work Columbia Valley administrators. This session covered all aspects of the system, ensuring the client could manage and moderate job postings with ease.
Results:
Since the system’s launch, Work Columbia Valley has successfully used the platform to allow businesses to post job opportunities and fill open positions. The platform has effectively streamlined the recruitment process for local businesses, with job posts being regularly updated and moderated by administrators. On average, 513 people use the site monthly, demonstrating strong engagement by both employers and job seekers. Additionally, most of the traffic comes directly to the site, indicating that employers who have already signed up for an account are actively relying on the platform for their recruitment needs.
