Current Opening: Bookkeeper

Genex Marketing Agency Ltd. is seeking a part-time bookkeeper to join our cohesive, multi-talented team. The bookkeeper will play an important part in our overall operations, planning and business development and undertake a wide range of responsibilities. These core responsibilities include:

  • Regular bank deposits
  • Regular entering of financial transactions
  • Maintenance of the chart of accounts
  • Processing bi-monthly payroll in a timely manner
  • Paying invoices to vendors, suppliers and contractors
  • Creating and managing purchase orders
  • Issuing invoices to customers
  • Ensuring receivables are collected promptly (collections)
  • Monthly financial reconciliation
  • Regular sales tax remittance
  • Regular payroll remittance
  • Maintaining the annual budget & monthly reporting of variances
  • Maintaining an orderly accounting system
  • Organize, provide and work with external accounting firm who creates the company‚Äôs financial statements
  • Compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements
  • Providing clerical and administrative support to management as requested
  • Creation of policy and procedure to streamline financial processes

In addition to these responsibilities, the successful candidate will possess the following attributes:

  • Capable of working with no direct supervision
  • Self-motivated and driven by excellence
  • Very strong technical aptitude; able to learn new software utilizing self-directed help and limited training
  • Strong communication skills; Comfortable working with coworkers and clients remotely
