Apex Accounting is a business that has an ongoing relationship with Genex, fulfilling their marketing needs. They came to us in 2018 because one of the partners in their firm was retiring, which required them to change their name. We set to a process that not only rebranded their firm in a way that makes it easier for them to acquire and merge with other professional firms but ensured that the rebrand was communicated effectively with existing and potential new customers.
Details:
We focused heavily on a paid social media advertising campaign, taking advantage of Facebook’s powerful audience targeting to reach the people Apex was most concerned about. We also launched Google ad campaigns, including a branded search campaign to ensure that people searching for their services by their firm’s old name would be informed of the changes.
Prior to engaging with Genex, Apex Accounting’s digital presence was limited, so one of the first things we did was build a new website equipped with analytics and data tracking. This allowed us to immediately start gathering valuable information on visitors to their website and use this in future marketing efforts.
Once the rebrand was solidified, Apex Accounting’s focus turned to raising awareness of their business in the greater Kootenay region. We continued to use social media and Google, along with cross-platform remarketing to ensure that no matter where people look and no matter where they are in their buying journey, Apex Accounting remains top of mind.

The new brand eliminates the need for brand updates with any change of partnership. This strategy proved useful in 2019 as they acquired a new partner and location in Creston. They are consistently active on social media and with paid campaigns. Apex Accounting has achieved a strong online presence, driving hundreds of new visitors into their website each month from Google search and display marketing.
